The annual Gort CS Transition Year Christmas Fair was a huge success again this year. Each year our schools Christmas Fair brings lots of festive cheer to the school and local community, but it also helps the Transition Year to raise pupils to fundraise for their tours and activities.
The pupils did fantastic work coming up with business and marketing plans in the weeks and months leading up to the fair. They organised themselves into mini-companies and decided the types of products they would like to sell. On the day there was everything from socks and candles to crepes and Late Late Toy Show treat boxes.
Well done to the pupils and to all the teachers involved for making the event such a success. It was a really worthwhile event and the pupils learned a huge amount.
Thanks as always to the Lady Gregory Hotel for the use of their fantastic function room. The beautiful surrounds of the function room really added to the occasion and the atmosphere. Thank you also to all our sponsors, without their support the Christmas Fair would not be possible. Well done and congratulations to the winners of our TY Christmas Raffle.
