Principal Mr. Crossan was delighted to meet 4 students who achieved over 600 points in the school recently. Pictured below are L-R James O Malley, Rachel O Mahony, Mr Crossan, Aisling O Mahony, and Karina Murphy.

The Leaving Certificate class of 2024 were successful in transitioning on to a variety of career pathways here in Ireland and as far as the USA. The majority of this cohort will be pursuing higher education courses in University of Galway, University of Limerick, University of Cork, University of Dublin and various branches of the Atlantic Technological University and the Technological University of Shannon. Smaller cohorts were successful in securing a series of apprenticeship and PLCs. We are very proud also of the students who received scholarships for further education through Irish, academic excellence, sporting and cultural achievements.

We wish the class of 2024 every success in their future endeavours, and we look forward to hearing about all the amazing things you go on to do. We are all very proud of your hard work and dedication. Thank you for all that you have contributed to our school community.

Gort Community School will host their annual Open Day on Saturday 28th September.
