Best of luck to our past pupil Keith Smyth and to the Clare Senior Hurling team in the All-Ireland Hurling Final on Sunday. We are all very proud of you Keith here in Gort Community School.👏👏

On Thursday 16th of May, LCA 1 welcomed Emma O'Br

On Thursday 16th of May, LCA 1 welcomed Emma O'Brien from the Galway SPCA to Gort Community School to talk about her work in the rescue in Killimor. Accompanied by her rescued greyhound Mr. Magoo, Emma spoke enthusiastically about the work carried out by the GSPCA and the plight of many animals in Ireland. LCA 1 students presented Emma with a selection of items to donate to the GSPCA. Students fundraised in March of this year with their pop up "LCA café" where they raised a fantastic 206 euro. This money was then used to buy items from the GSPCA wishlist. Well done to the students of LCA 1 for their hard work and dedication to this cause.
